Colin became involved with the IWK when his son was four years old and was misdiagnosed with a cold. Colin brought his son to the IWK ER where staff recognized right away that he was having an asthma attack and treated him immediately with a steroid needle--he was told that if the asthma attack had continued for another half hour his son could have died. His experience inspired him to become involved as a donor and volunteer with the IWK Health Centre Foundation. His generosity to the IWK and many other important charities in the region is inspiring.
