"I think a lot of women find it more convenient to have health service out in their home communities. It's our role to take our knowledge and services to them, and in turn provide better access to care."

Sandra is an experienced nurse practitioner dedicated to practicing her profession in the community, making healthcare accessible beyond the walls of the IWK. She has worked diligently to establish Women's Health Community Clinics throughout the Halifax region including in North Preston, and at educational institutions such as the Nova Scotia Community College. Sandra’s role includes health screening and health management, research, community education and health presentations.
