"To have my finger puppets referred to as the unofficial mascots of the IWK is a tremendous honour. I love making them because they put a smile on the face of everyone who receives one."
Rebecca is a long-time volunteer with the IWK. From her home in Lunenburg County, Rebecca knits finger puppets for IWK patients. Over the years, she has knitted, literally, thousands! The IWK gives out finger puppets to child patients having blood work, needles, or any other form of care. The finger puppets give patients and their siblings a little bit of fun and joy. In turn, the finger puppets have become a special tradition and unofficial mascots of the IWK.
