Jordan Black
"The IWK is a special place that saved my sister Amaya’s life. That’s a big deal to me, so I do what I can to help by fundraising for the IWK."
Jordan is a donor of the IWK. He is 11 years old and lives in Summerside, PEI with his family, including his sister Amaya, a patient of the IWK. It was Amaya’s IWK experience that inspired Jordan to help. Amaya had been a healthy, active girl who had a seizure one day and developed a very rare condition that brings the family to the IWK on a regular basis. Jordan, an avid basketball player, decided to organize a fundraising three-on-three ball tournament called Hoops for Health in honour of his sister.
